    James Barnhart
    Saturday February 27th 2010 7:00 PM
Jim is a singer/songwriter living in the Phoenix area. Music is his love & life starting with a choral background and later expanding to playing guitar. His calming tenor voice blends well with his guitar style; each harmonizing with the other. As a child and teen in the 60's & 70's, he has been influenced by the folk musicians of that time. His music is original drawing upon life experiences and the emotions they bring.

"Berardo’s most recent CD, “Harbor”, is arguably his finest work to date and the best acoustic album I’ve heard in years." - Mark Renburke, Southbridge Evening News/Village Newspapers, CT

    James Hurley
    Saturday January 23rd 2010 7:00 PM
Described by one fan as "Sting meets the Beatles, Clapton makes the introductions"! James writes songs that have the sophistication of jazz, the immediacy of blues, the imagery of film, and the intimacy of a lover held close. With a smooth, passionate voice and tastefully understated guitar playing (called "jazz-like virtuosity" by minor 7th Magazine) he leads the listener through tales of whimsy and romance, celebrations of life lived, and stories of love, and love lost. With wry humor and unflinching honesty, he follows his own muse and invites the listener to come along for the ride.

Skillful, crystalline guitar, superb songwriting and soulful, harmonious vocals characterize this acoustic masterpiece. Greg Newlon & Bev Barnett have touched all the bases here. Bev has a voice that soars to great heights with outstanding range and command, while Greg has a sturdy, powerful voice that connects with everyone who listens. - David Stafford, KKUP 91.5

    Dana Hubbard
    Saturday May 9th 2009 7:00 PM
What Dana does on acoustic guitar with only his hands is amazing to see. You hear the bass and he back beat rhythm along with the melody and cords. It's hard to imagine it's just one person, even when you're looking right at him! On his latest CD, "The Grounds Keepers", every track is a single guitar performance, -no overdubs! -no cheatin'! -no second chances! And the singer/songwriter is front and center, addressing issues of environmentalism and social injustice in a voice that is sometimes a growl, sometimes a lilt and a laugh, but always with a little twinkle in the eye! He has a social activist soul with a bluesman's grin!

Andrew's performances are dynamic and audiences can't help but be drawn in by the songs. Through years of acting experience, his natural and personal energy on stage makes him immediately identifiable and loveable as well. Being a trained vocalist and guitarist his performance is far from lacking.

    Stryngs
    Saturday 18 October 2008 7:00 PM
"The centrepiece of every Stryngs song is the vocal, and here we have the most unique aspect of the band. The vocalist and lyricist (whose name is Strings. Note the subtly different spelling) writes the sort of lyrics that shouldn't be singable. There are too many syllables, the lines don't obey any regular meter and there are far too many long words. Half the songs read like prose on the page, and yet when you hear Strings' soft, intimate, chocolate delivery it all makes sense."
"What makes this album so good is the marriage between music and words, between lyrics, melody and harmony. This is the sign of songwriters and musicians at the top of their game ..."

"What a wonderful album this is. I’m thinking Patti Griffin, Nanci Griffith and Iris DeMent. It’s spellbinding, from the opening track to ‘Gospel Song’ at the end, this is a real treat! ‘Questions about Angels’ made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end."

    Al Dawson
    Friday 1 August 2008 7:00 PM
A native of the Midwest, Al has been around music all his life. He recorded his first record at the age of three (“How Much Is That Doggy In The Window”) and despite short periods of inactivity has been at it ever since. During his career he has performed as a singer, guitarist and drummer with The Cryan’ Shames, The Boston Tea Party, Aorta, Platte River Crossing, Cotton, Possum River and Otis & The Elevators. He has recorded rock, jazz, blues, bluegrass and folk, in fact pretty much everything except opera.
Al continues to write and perform and his sound has mellowed with age. His repertoire also includes the songs of many great writers including songs written with long time friend and collaborator, John Seay. His new CD “Against The Grain” features beautifully crafted acoustic guitar and wonderful vocals from an old time rocker who, as Steve Earle states, “still plays and sings like an avenging angel”.
