The Hayburners
Saturday January 10th 2009 7:00 PM
The effervescent folk-Americana-jazz duo of The Hayburners combines the songwriting talents of Jennifer Spector and David Tieman. These long-time music partners moved their guitars from Phoenix to Seattle 2 years ago and are back for a special homecoming concert. They’ll take you on a bicycle built for two of award-winning music, strong vocal harmonies and wedded bliss.
“An engaging acoustic treat! Memorable melodies, silky harmonies, imaginative guitar arranging…go see them in live performance, you will thank yourself for going!”
Tom Arnold – Portland Songwriters Association 2008

Jess Clemons
Saturday January 31st 2009 7:00 PM
Jess writes personal songs. She spills what most people would keep to their journals, and because of it, she captivates audiences wherever she goes.
At only 22, she’s got a unique knack for songs that tell a personal story, but have global appeal – her fans range in age from 8 to 88.
Her voice is often compared to that of Natalie Merchant, Tracy Chapman, and a raspy Bonnie Raitt, and her shows have recently been likened to that of Ani Difranco, telling (often humorous) stories of recent travels and day-to-day happenings.

Mikey de Lara
Saturday February 7th 2009 7:00 PM
Mikey de Lara’s voice can sound achingly beautiful while singing a ballad or equally powerful when he releases a growling scream. He’s been referred to as Death Cab for Cutie meets Glen Hansard and Kurt Cobain mixed with Jon Mayer. Mikey writes songs from the heart and soul, and songs that tell a story we can all relate to. From his song “Holding On”: “The things that we can’t see connect us all/ So I say to you must be holding on/to the memory of a life that’s come and gone/ So long/ ‘Cause if you wanted to watch the night turn into dawn…”
On August 12th, 2008, Big Sky Record Company released “Songs for Lulu,” Mikey's first solo release.

Jakob Martin
Saturday February 28th 2009 7:00 PM
If you enjoy thoughtless pop music, Jakob Martin is not for you. Currently one of the fastest growing underground artists on the West Coast, Martin is best known for his raw musical style and lyrical mastery.
Martin engages audiences with music, poetry, humor, and personal stories from his two years touring the United States, where he has performed over 500 concerts.
In a time of dramatic change in the world, Jakob Martin’s work is relevant, stimulating, edgy, witty, and emotionally stirring, and is unlike anything you will get anywhere else.
"Like Bob Dylan, Jakob Martin is a heritage artist who skillfully inhabits both the musical and literary worlds..."
Simeon Flick, The Troubadour.

Andrew Heringer
Saturday March 21st 2009 7:00 PM
Andrew Heringer has spent the last year touring full time performing solo and with his band. Playing shows in California, Oregon, Washington as well as New York, he has sold thousands of CD's independently of any label representation. Often compared with the likes of Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews, Heringer writes feel good music that is introspective, thought provoking and connects with audiences of all ages.
Andrew's performances are dynamic and audiences can't help but be drawn in by the songs. Through years of acting experience, his natural and personal energy on stage makes him immediately identifiable and loveable as well. Being a trained vocalist and guitarist his performance is far from lacking.

Jean Mann
Saturday April 25th 2009 7:00 PM
A renaissance woman in a modern day world, jean's self-taught, "alternafolk" has been compared to Ani Di Franco, Joni Mitchell, and Norah Jones.
However, with the release of her second and third albums, "seasons", and "daisies and fire", she is emerging as a voice all her own.
Her songs wind around life and love, speaking volumes in simple prose.

| Dana Hubbard
Saturday May 9th 2009 7:00 PM
What Dana does on acoustic guitar with only his hands is amazing to see. You hear the bass and he back beat rhythm along with the melody and cords. It's hard to imagine it's just one person, even when you're looking right at him! On his latest CD, "The Grounds Keepers", every track is a single guitar performance, -no overdubs! -no cheatin'! -no second chances! And the singer/songwriter is front and center, addressing issues of environmentalism and social injustice in a voice that is sometimes a growl, sometimes a lilt and a laugh, but always with a little twinkle in the eye! He has a social activist soul with a bluesman's grin!
